2022, IT’S A WRAP!

Yesterday was my last day of work at Red Point tattoo for the year and, as a lot of us here in the north hemisphere, I am now getting ready to retreat for the winter holidays.

This time of the year always brings an invitation to look back and take stock on the months past; and, even though this year has been a hard one for me personally, professionally 2022 has turned out to be a very fruitful and happy year.

Things that I am grateful for this year include the come back of tattoo conventions, travel and guest spots; being a part of the ever growing and evolving team of tattoo artists at one of the best tattoo shops in London; and the start and completion of some pretty epic tattoo projects on wonderful clients.

Two big highlights are Mark’s and Emma’s back pieces, both of which we started discussing in spring, made a start on in summer and completed in the autumn. 56 and 36 hours, spread over 4 and 3 months respectively. A really big achievement for all involved, made possible by their strength and commitment and my love for extra long days at the office ;)

As we stand still at the beginning of winter and prepare to leave the year behind, I am taking some time to plant the seeds I’d like to see give fruit in 2023. More large scale projects like these and the opportunity to forge deeper relationships with my clients, bringing to live something truly especial together, is where I would like to see it go.

My books are now open for 2023, and I’ll resume both email and live consultations from the 10th of January. If you’d like to start brewing some ideas with me please do get in touch.

In the meantime, much love and best wishes for the year ahead!
