Usually about 1 to 2 months but this varies within the year. It also depends on the size of the tattoo that you are after and how long I need to prepare your design.

I frequently have half days become available within short notice due to reschedules so it is always worth asking.

I aim to get back to you within 7 days and from there I might ask you to either come in for a consultation or send me some further information and pictures.

After the consultation part is done, either in person or via email, and we agree on a date; a deposit is paid and your appointment confirmed.

This is my preferred way to discuss your potential tattoo when possible as it enables me to take precise measurements of the area to be tattooed and draw a quick little sketch directly on you which is invaluable when it comes to the second stage of designing your custom tattoo.

These consultations are free of charge and last anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes.

Yes, if coming in for a face to face consultation is tricky for you then the second best option is the email. I usually ask for all the reference pictures that you want to show me plus pictures of the area to be tattooed. You might need to ask someone else to take these for you, as well as measurements. To get the ball rolling with this you can start by filling out my contact form.

Deposits vary depending on the piece and how long a slot of time we are booking.

I tend to ask for £50 per hour booked so a small tattoo deposit will usually be £50-150 and a full days or beginnings of a big project will be £300-400.

Deposits can be paid via PayPal or cash at the shop.

You can reschedule your appointment twice without it affecting your deposit, providing that you let me know at least 7 days prior to the appointment. 

Reschedules must be made within 12 months of paying the deposit.

Deposits will be lost if you don’t show up to your appointment or reschedule with less than 7 days notice.

Small-Medium tattoos are priced by the piece. When you are booking you will be given a quote for the design at the size and position you requested it. If you change your mind on the position or size of tattoo on the day you may be charged more than what you were originally quoted.

Large scale tattoos are charged by the hour or daily rate if you do day sessions.

Unfortunately, I cannot send out designs before the day.

If you have given me all the relevant information during our consultation and are happy with my portfolio of work, you won’t be disappointed. There will be a bit of time on the day for minor changes when necessary.

Yes, usually this isn’t a problem. When sending your booking enquiry please include pictures of your existing tattoos and I can see if it’s possible to work with them, integrate, or cover, whichever your preference.

I always suggest having a good night’s rest and a solid breakfast/lunch before your appointment. You will use a lot of energy being tattooed so you need to have some energy before you begin. If you are doing a long session bring some snacks and drinks with you.

I would recommend not using numbing cream as it doesn’t always work well with the tattoo, and it can make it difficult for your skin to take the ink.

It can also effect the healing process. If you are thinking of using numbing cream, please discuss this with me before hand.

I don’t. Both London and Brighton shops are cash only businesses so please make arrangements to have sufficient cash for your appointment.

Please follow these steps to insure your tattoo heals as best as it can, how you look after it will determine the quality of healing, once you leave the studio, its up to you to make sure your tattoo heals well.

The average healing process takes between 10-30 days

Please remember, a tattoo is an open wound and needs to be looked after correctly to avoid risk of infection, so its important to keep in clean. Please only wash it with warm water or un-fragranced soap that isn’t heavily concentrated.

During the first night you’ll need to keep your tattoo wrapped in the cling film that I apply for you at the end of our session. The cling film helps to aide the healing process as it reduces the chance of scabbing in the area.

The day after your tattoo when you remove the cling film, your tattoo may be a bit gunky. You need to wash all of that off in the shower with warm soapy water. Don’t be scared to give it a solid wash as you need to get rid of all that gunk as that can cause unnecessary scabbing.

Let your tattoo air dry for a day or two before you start applying cocoa butter to the area. It’s important not to smother your tattoo, just a light layer to cover the surface area. Make sure you wash the tattoo well before putting any moisturizer on, you don’t want to put fresh moisturizer over old moisturizer.I recommend Palmers cocoa butter or any good natural, fragrance free moisturizer . Please ensure to touch your tattoo as little as possible and if any scabbing/skin flaking appears do not pick or scratch it off, allow it to fall off naturally.

During the first few days, it’s also important that you do not submerge your tattoo in water as this can increase the chance of infection due to bacteria in the water. No baths, no pools and no sea over this time. Showering is absolutely fine.

Avoid direct sunlight or sunbeds whilst your tattoo is healing as this will cause damage to your skin and increase the likelihood of the tattoo to fade. Once healed, apply high factor sunscreen to your tattoo ensure it stays as vibrant as possible, please do not use sunscreen before the tattoo is healed.
